This book is a result of UNIDO decision to update its 1983 publication `Pesticide Formulation in Developing Countries`. The book is mainly intended to make interested persons in developing countries aware of developments in pesticide formulation technology. The original technology for organic synthesis, screening, field tests, analytical tests are presented in a sophisticated form. These technological advances, together with the demands and concerns of the society, constitute the substance of this book. The management of toxic chemicals, hazardous waste and the preservation of biodiversity have been addressed in the final chapter of the book.
