The present edition contains 12 chapters divided under two parts. Part A: Principles and Functions of Management contains eight chapters and Part B: Business Finance and Marketing contains four chapters. Chapter 12- Consumer Protection has been thoroughly revised and updated in the light of the enactment of Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The present edition is characterized by the following features: Adequate emphasis has been laid on conceptual clarity, working of business processes and application of basic concepts to satisfy the main learning objectives, i.e. Knowledge, Understanding, Application and Evaluation. Diagrams, tables and boxes have been extensively used to facilitate visual learning and to serve as a useful tool in learning and revising key concepts. Summary has been given at the end of each chapter for easy and quick recapitulation of the topics covered. As per latest guidelines of the CBSE, Objective-Type Questions/Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Very Short Answer, Short Answer and Long Answer Type Questions have been given in a logical Sequence at the end of each chapter to test remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing and evaluating skills of the students. Questions requiring Evaluation including Small Case Studies with suggested answers have also been given at the end of each chapter. Questions asked in the CBSE Examinations have been duly incorporated. The latest CBSE Sample Paper with suggested solutions has been given towards the end of the book. Three Sample Projects have been given in an Appendix to help the students in preparing meaningful projects.
