Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA) to screen candidates for admission into B-schools for MBA courses and other allied programs. The test aims to evaluate the general aptitude and language skills of the appearing candidates. MAT score can be considered by any B-school, both national and international, during the admission of candidates. This score can be produced in over 600 such institutes across India. The exam is conducted 4 times a year— February, May, September, and December.

Eligibility Criteria 1) Candidates must possess a graduation degree from any recognized University or an equivalent qualification. 2) Final year graduation students can also appear for MAT 3) The minimum percentage requirement in graduation is different for different colleges and Universities. 4) No upper age limit

Exam Pattern 1) The question paper is divided into 5 sections: i) Language Comprehension ii) Mathematical Skills iii) Data Analysis and Sufficiency iv) Intelligence and Critical Reasoning v) Indian and Global Environment

2) Total number of questions: 200. Each section contains 40 questions.

3) All the questions will be of the multiple choice question (MCQ) type.

4) Marking scheme: +1 for each correct answer and -0.25 for each incorrect answer.

5) Exam duration: 150 minutes

6) Candidates can either opt for Paper-based test (PBT) or Computer-based test (CBT) or Remote Proctored Internet Based Test (IBT).

7) Candidates can also opt for both Paper-based test and Computer-based test. Applicants opting for both CBT and PBT or double IBT or IBT and PBT can select 2 additional Management Institutions apart from the existing options of 5 Institutions.
