The book includes an introductory account of safely rules for working in the chemical laboratoty and laboratory discipline besides the knowldege of certain basic operations like cutting and bending of glass tube, drawing jets, boring holes in cork, cleaning of glass apparatus, making the apparatus airtight etc. Well labelled diagrams have been given to enable the students to perform the experiments confidently. Various calculations in volumetric analysis have been explained in a simple manner. The appendices at he end give standard values and are very useful. Oral questions with answers pertaining to each experiment and its underlying principles have been compiled to help the students for preparing the viva-voce. I hope my brother teachers and students will approve this effort of mine. However, if they feel that the book can be made more informative, their suggestions are highly welcomed and will be duly acknowledged.
