Chapter-8 provides necessary details of various welding and allied joining process such as gas welding, arc welding, Resistance welding, Soldering and Brazing. Chapter-9 provides heat treatment of materials. Chapter-10 ‘Manufacturing Establishment’ covers Plant location, layout, Types of plant layout, Production and Production versus Productivity. Chapter-11 provides necessary information about Wood, Cement concrete, Ceramic, Rubber, Plastic, Composite materials,Chapter-12 deals with technique of manufacturing of products with powder metallurgy, Galvanizing, Electroplating and various types of Plastics.The book would serve not only as a textbook for the students of engineering curriculum but would also provide reference material to engineers working in manufacturing industries.Salient Features
