About Product
This book on High Side of Air Conditioning design is written as a sequel to Low Side Air Conditioning Design. This book is an attempt to explain the working principles of different components in a central air conditioning system plant room. A plant room has compressors, condensers, expansion valves, refrigerant piping and controls, and the equipment outside the plant room consists of cooling towers, AHUs and FCUs.As the reader is taken through the process/working of various components, the process is followed by comparison of various types of components and the selection process. The book includes many numericals for better explanation to the reader. For the purpose of explanation, a few tables have been taken from some manufacturers. For selection and comparison, similar tables can be demanded from different manufacturers. It is important that the components are compatible to each other and should be able to operate in local conditions prevailing in the area of operation. The book is being put across in a very simple manner to help a student as well as a practising engineer. Many practical tips and common terms are explained for a better understanding. Things like IPLV, NPLV, higher or lower IKW during part load conditions, VFD on cooling towers, single vs multiple fans on cooling towers and operations during part load conditions have been extensively covered. It is advisable to read this book in conjunction with the book on Low Side design to get a clear understanding of Air Conditioning subject.
